Foster - The beginning of the end
OUFC-Mad is able to reveal a previous spat between manager Chris Wilder and former centre half Luke Foster resulting in the former exiting the club. Foster 24, a fans favourite highly regarded by many up until the U's christmas period had formed a formidable partnership with partner Mark Creighton contributing to one of the best goals against ratios in the league. However January had passed, Foster had been sold to Mansfield for a nominal fee whilst Creighton was warming the bench. Three members of the U's back four had been replaced and the U's were leaking goals and unable to stop the rot. Although contracts were discussed hence Fosters departure from the U's, OUFC-Mad can reveal a training ground spat took place prior to this event. Few were at the scene at the time however Foster in no uncertain terms had told Chris Wilder to; ''**** off'' before on the training ground. Wilder exchanged a similar use of his vocabulary before exclaiming; ''You know where you can go''.
