Duo banned for Us

Oxford will be without suspended defensive duo Mark Creighton and Jake Wright for the home game with Torquay. The pair were sent-off in Saturday's 5-0 loss at Bradford, with Creighton serving a one-match ban after being dismissed for two bookable offences, while Wright will sit out three matches after being shown a straight red card for an angry reaction to an elbow thrown by Bantams striker James Hanson. As a result United boss Chris Wilder will be forced to thrust young defensive duo Harry Worley and Leigh Franks into the starting line-up. Worley has featured regularly for the Us this season, making 14 league appearances while Franks, 19, has played four times since joining on a six-month loan deal from Huddersfield in July. However, Wilder will not have to find a replacement for Josh Payne. The midfielder was forced to come off at half-time at the weekend after turning his ankle but there is no ligament damage and he will be able to take his place in the middle of the park. United have looked at home in their first season back in League Two following their promotion from the Blue Square Premier currently sitting in mid-table but they now face their toughest challenge so far this campaign bouncing back from a heavy defeat.
