Constable blow for Us

27 September 2010 15:30
Oxford will be without James Constable for the trip to Cheltenham. The striker was sent off in the 1-1 draw with Crewe at the weekend after recieving two yellow cards and will miss the trip to Whaddon Road with Jack Midson possibly deputising. Manager Chris Wilder's only injury doubt is midfielder Josh Payne who suffered an eye injury at Gresty Road but is expected to be fit. Damien Batt is still out so Mark Creighton and Harry Worley will continue in defence and Rhys Day could be back in contention for a place on the bench. Jake Wright needs another week in training before he can return to the squad while midfielder Simon Clist played in the reserves this week and could force his way back into the squad.
