Boss hails battling Bees

Oxford manager Chris Wilder saluted the battling spirit of opponents Barnet and felt a point apiece was just reward for a hard-fought encounter. The Bees twice held the lead at Underhill through Clovis Kamdjo and Mark Hughes only to pegged back on each occasion by James Constable, the second of which arrived in the 78th minute. "They are one of the form teams and I thought they gave their absolute everything for their football team and the manager, and I think we were fortunate at half-time to be level," said Wilder. "We've gone behind to a fortuitous goal and then showed a good reaction and we created lots of chances - so I think a point each is a fair result. "We were not going to do anybody any favours, we're an honest bunch so we came out to win the game ourselves. We played a strong team, we couldn't make many changes because we had some injuries. "It was a good effort because we put a fantastic amount of energy into our game against Chesterfield on Saturday, and we knew Barnet had something really important to play for - so it was a good all-round competitive game in windy conditions."
