Batt set to miss cup clash

Oxford are likely to be without Damian Batt for their lucrative Carling Cup tie at West Ham. Batt was injured by Kevin Betsy's heavy challenge in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Wycombe and limped out after 11 minutes. The knock on his ankle means he is a major doubt, so manager Chris Wilder is likely to call on Ben Purkiss to fill in at right-back. Wilder also has concerns over striker Matthew Green, another player to be forced off during the weekend's visit to Adams Park. Green sustained a dead leg and is only rated as 50-50 for the game at Upton Park. Alfie Potter and Mitchell Cole are on standby to come into the U's three-pronged attack, alongside James Constable and Jack Midson.
