Defender Damian Batt has signed a new two-year contract with Oxford. The full-back joined the Kassam Stadium outfit in January 2009 and helped the club achieve promotion back to the Football League last season following their play-off victory over York. Although the 25-year-old had a deal until the end of this season, manager Chris Wilder has moved quickly to secure Batt's long-term future and the deal will keep him with the U's until the summer of 2013. "It feels great to have sorted everything out," Batt told the club's official website. "The club is obviously going places and that's why I'm so happy to be here for the next three years. "It's just fantastic to be involved with such a great club and to know that my future is secure for the next three summers. "Right now I'm focusing on improving on last season I feel that I've done well over the last 18 months and now I'm focussed on meeting the goals that I've set myself and hopefully I can crack on with having a great season both personally and as a team."
