Batt out of Boro trip

Simon Hackney could make his first start for Oxford when his side travel to Stevenage. The tricky winger has made three impressive substitute appearances for the Us since his arrival including an exciting 35 minute cameo during the 2-1 win over Rotherham at the weekend. Midfielder Jack Midson, who got a rare start against the Millers, could make way if manager Chris Wilder decides to make include Hackney. Defender Damien Batt is the only player at the club unavailable as he serves the third and final game of his suspension for a red card at Southend on February 1. Sam Deering is unavailable due to his loan spell at Barnet and striker Mitchell Cole has retired from the game with a heart condition after seeking medical advice. The 25-year-old had made just five appearances for the club this season.
