Former England captain Paul Ince is in Athens this weekend and met with Olympiakos officials for a possible transfer to the Greek champions of his son Tom this summer, the Athens daily sports newspaper Gavros reported Sunday.

The newspaper wrote that Olympiakos advisor, former France and Olympiakos player Christian Karembeu, gave a tour of the team's facilities to the former Blackpool manager.

Gavros speculated that Paul Ince's appearance at Olympiakos was tied to his son's possible transfer at the end of the season when he becomes a free agent.

Olympiakos has shown a keen interest in the 22-year-old player who is also being sought by Premier League teams, notably Everton.

The England under-21 international was given the green light to leave Blackpool in January after his father was sacked as club manager and eventually he went out on loan to Crystal Palace.

Gavros also mentioned the scenario of Paul Ince joining Olympiakos as assistant to Spanish coach Michel as his current assistant Victor Sanchez will leave the team this summer.
