Abdoun, Orbaiz join Olympiakos

Greek champions Olympiakos Piraeus announced the signing of midfielders Djamel Abdoun and Pablo Orbaiz on Wednesday.

No financial details of the deals were revealed by Olympiakos.

French-born Abdoun, 25, has signed a three-year contract with Olympiakos. Although he played for the French national youth teams from 2003-2006 he has 11 caps with the Algerian national team and last season played for Greek Super league club Kavala.

He has also played for Nantes (2008-2010) and Ajaccio (2004-2008), and was loaned by Ajaccio to Manchester City (2007) and Sedan (2007-2008).

Orbaiz, 32, is being loaned to Olympiakos for one year by Athletic Bilbao where he has played since 2000.

Before that he played for Osasuna (1996-2000).

Orbaiz has also played for the Spanish national team four times and was a member of the Spanish national youth teams from 1997-2001.
