Taylor agrees new Latics deal

Oldham Athletic winger Chris Taylor has pledged his future to the club until summer 2012 after signing a new contract.

The Oldham-born wideman was the subject of interest from higher division clubs in the January transfer window, but has now put pen to paper on a new two-and-a-half year contract with the League One side.

"I'm delighted to have put pen to paper on my new contract and I'd have signed for longer if I could," he told the club's official website.

"Everyone knows that Oldham is where I want to be. I love playing for this club and I want to help us into the Championship.

"There has always been a lot of speculation surrounding me but all I want to do is play for Oldham."
