Seven wait on Latics offers

Seven out-of-contract Oldham Athletic players are waiting to see whether they will be offered new deals by the League One club.

Mark Allott, Sean Gregan, Lee Hughes, JP Kalala, Kevin Maher, Stefan Stam and Matt Wolfenden are all free agents this summer, unless new Latics boss Dave Penney offers fresh terms.

Veteran Gregan told the Oldham Chronicle: "I haven't heard a thing and it's an uncertain period. It's the first time in my career that I've been out of contract.

"Don't get me wrong, I'm 35 and I know I'm not going to get clubs offering me three-year deals.

"But I'd like to think I've show I can still play at this level and, as I've said before, I'd like to stay at this club."
