Ormerod ends Latics loan

Brett Ormerod has been forced to end his loan spell at Oldham Athletic early after breaking a toe in training.

The 32-year-old former Blackpool and Southampton striker has returned to Preston North End for treatment.

Ormerod is expected to be sidelined for between four and six weeks.

He made two starts and three substitute appearances for the Latics during his time at Boundary Park.
