New Latics contract for Hazell

Oldham Athletic defender Reuben Hazell has penned a new deal that will keep him at Boundary Park until the end of the 2010-11 season.

The 29-year-old has been in talks with the club about a new contract recently and agreement was reached before Saturday evening's game against Leicester City.

The former Aston Villa trainee has been a regular in the Latics team since joining the club 18 months ago following his release by Chesterfield.

He has found the net twice in 73 appearances for John Sheridan's side.
