Latics new-signing Cristian Montano explained why he chose the Latics over the opposition. He said, "I trained three times last week with Latics and found it a good club, one which I wanted to join. I was impressed with the manager and the togetherness at the club and in the team. There are also a lot of good, young players here which is also good." "I watched the Sheffield Wednesday game and was impressed how we were 2-0 ahead at half time against a Championship side. It was sad we couldn't hold on to the lead but, from what I have seen, I feel Oldham is a good club and we can go on and have a good season. Hopefully I can offer them something different and do well for the team. I love the game and just want to play football and do well for the team and see where it takes us."
