Lee news boosts Latics

Oldham Athletic have received a boost with the news that Kieran Lee is close to making a return to action.

The 20-year-old former Manchester United youngster has been restricted to just two first-team appearances this season after being plagued by hamstring trouble.

But Lee is expected to return to full training later this week ahead of a potential return to competitive action in a reserve game next Tuesday.

Lee, who ended last season on loan at QPR, joined the Latics on a free transfer from the Premier League champions during the summer.
