Oldham Athletic are waiting to discover the extent of an injury suffered by veteran goalkeeper Mark Crossley during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Cheltenham Town.
Crossley, 38, suffered a thigh injury in the opening minutes at Whaddon Road, but completed the match with heavy strapping as the Latics had not named a replacement keeper on the substitute's bench.
"It's not quite clear what he's done," manager John Sheridan told the club's official website.
"His thigh is either tight or he's pulled (the muscle) which is unfortunate, but we're lucky he could stay on the pitch.
"Thankfully, we've now got a bit of a break so we can see how he is."
Meanwhile, Sheridan also revealed that Congolese midfielder Jean-Paul Kalala was scratched from the starting line-up after a late hamstring injury scare.
