Latics to loan out quintet

Oldham are allowing five young members of their squad to go out on loan as boss John Sheridan seeks to give them valuable first-team experience. Defenders Chris Leven and Michael Pearson, strikers Matty Barlow and Matthew Wolfenden and midfielder Chris Baguely have all performed well for the Latics' reserve side this season. However, Sheridan would like to loan them out to League Two or Conference sides before Thursday's deadline to help the quintet make further progress in their respective careers. He told the club's official website: "I've explained to the lads that they need to gain some experience at a reasonable level and they're all up for it."
