Injured Latics return in friendly

Jon Worthington, who resumed training following an ankle injury this week, played the opening half-hour of the clash at United's Carrington training complex. Defender Kelvin Lomax, who has been out for two months with a ligament injury, also featured in the first half. Lewis Alessandra managed 45 minutes following his return from an ankle problem, while fellow recent absentees Kieran Lee and Chris Rowney got some game time under their belts. Simon Whalley, who is on trial at the club, also got a run out against United.
