Highly-rated Oldham Athletic defender Fitz Hall has signed a new deal with the Nationwide Division Two club, his contract now running until the summer of 2005.
The 22-year-old stopper has earned rave reviews following his arrival from Chesham United less than a year ago, sparking talk of a move to the Premiership.
However, the Latics have now secured Hall's signature and boss Iain Dowie was delighted, as he told the club's official website: "He is a player that has been at the heart of our recent success and I for one am in no doubt that one day he will grace the Premiership.
"His professionalism and dedication to the daily training epitomises his desire for him to make the best of his ability."
Hall was already under contract until the end of next season, but has now signed up for an extra 12 months.
