Grabban loaned to Latics

Oldham Athletic have signed Crystal Palace striker Lewis Grabban on a month's loan.

The 18-year-old has made a couple of first-team appearances for the Eagles, but will gain some much-needed experience during his stint at Boundary Park.

Latics boss John Sheridan told the club's official website: "Lewis is a young striker with bags of potential.

"We hope he can do for us what Jermain Defoe did for Bournemouth a few years ago."
