Edwards leaves Latics

Oldham Athletic winger Paul Edwards has rejected the chance to sign a new contract at Boundary Park and opted to join Port Vale.

The 27-year-old has spent the last two seasons with the Latics and made 69 appearances for the club.

Edwards' Oldham team-mate Craig Rocastle has also agreed to move to Vale Park.

Edwards played for Blackpool before joining Oldham and also starred for Wrexham earlier in his career.
