Cywka extends Oldham stay

Wigan Athletic's teenage midfielder Tomasz Cywka has extended his loan stay at Oldham Athletic into a second month.

The 18-year-old Pole will remain at Boundary Park until January 2, although he is not allowed to play in Friday's FA Cup second round clash at King's Lynn as Wigan boss Paul Jewell has refused him permission to play in the competition.

Cywka moved to the JJB Stadium from Polish team Gwarek Zabrze in the summer, signing a three-year contract with the Premiership side.

His only appearance for Wigan came in their Carling Cup defeat to Crewe Alexandra and he has made four appearances for Oldham during his initial one-month stay with the League One outfit.
