Crossley could leave Latics

Oldham Athletic goalkeeper Mark Crossley could be on his way out of Boundary Park following the offer of a new playing contract.

Crossley, 40, doubles as the Latics' goalkeeping coach but is out of contract as a player at the League One club in the summer.

"I've had an interesting phone call," he told the club's official website.

"Someone called me asking what the situation was and whether I fancied playing for another year. I can't say who it was, but I can confirm it wasn't Arsenal!

"Obviously the answer was yes because I do want to continue. I'll work through the summer on maintaining and improving my fitness and see what happens.

"Nothing's been said here so far, so I'm getting on with my job as normal on the training ground and when I'm asked to play."
