Striker Darren Byfield has agreed to extend his loan stay at Oldham Athletic after impressing boss John Sheridan during his first month at Boundary Park.
The 32-year-old has made four appearances for the Latics since arriving at the club from Rotherham United last month.
Byfield, who will remain with Sheridan's side until January 10, said: "My main aim was always to stay here at Boundary Park for another month and now I want to weigh in with a few goals.
"I've not been on the losing side yet, so hopefully that's a good omen and I can help the lads to get into an even better position.
"Playing up front with Lee Hughes has been an absolute joy and I feel like I'm getting sharper and sharper the more matches I play.
"I missed out on pre-season and was just finding my feet when the toe injury put me back.
"I feel good again now after training and playing again. I didn't want the loan spell to end and I'm delighted to re-sign."
