Alessandra ready for action

Oldham Athletic striker Lewis Alessandra is close to making a comeback from a serious ankle injury.
The 20-year-old is expected to feature in next week's reserve team game against Blackpool's second string after resuming training this week.
Alessandra, who has not played since damaging ankle ligaments while on loan at Chester City in September 2009, said: "I'm aiming to play some part in next Wednesday's game, even if it's only for 15 or 20 minutes, to see how my ankle stands up.
"Even though it will only be a reserve game, it will be more intense and a completely different work-out to training."
