Worthington back on track
Worthy return to action good news for Latics Jon Worthington got a piece of the action against Manchester United reserves in a behind closed doors friendly game at United's Carrington training ground. Worthington has been given the go ahead to resume training after recovering from damaged ankle ligaments, an injury which has kept him out of action for the last three months. He is well ahead of his scheduled return to action date and played half an hour in the first half of the match. Latic physio Marc Czuczman is delighted with the speedy return as Worthington has been in rehab for the last five weeks and was expected to be out of the game for anything up to four or five months.
