Wolfenden gets specialist's advice

Scans revealed scar tissue within the 21-year-old's thigh muscle which is causing him problems when he undertakes high-intensity work.

Wolfenden, who has made only one substitute appearance this season, will have vitamin injections into his muscle in an attempt to rectify the problem and could be back within a few weeks.

Physio Marc Czuczman told the club's official website: "Matty is almost fully fit and he is fine until he attempts high-intensity activities, which is when this problem flares up.

"We think that the problem has been there since his days in the youth team but is only just causing a problem now.

"Hopefully the latest course of treatment will clear things up and then we can work on getting Matty back up to full power."
