Bug threatens to decimate squad Athletic are fighting to stop a virus from decimating their squad for the visit of Bristol Rovers on Saturday. A sickness bug has infiltrated and is threatening to sweep through Boundary Park. Darryl Flahavan, Sean Gregan and Hasney Aljofree have all been affected to date. The bug kept goalkeeper Flahavan out of Saturday's home match against Gillingham although he recovered in time fo face Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night. Gregan also played even though he has been unwell all weekend and Aljofree also recovered sufficiently to take his place on the bench at Huddersfield.
