Taylor worry ahead of Orient trip

Taylor has been troubled by a niggling groin strain which flared up again in Tuesday's defeat at Carlisle in the first round of the Carling Cup. Midfielder Danny Whitaker needed five stitches in his head following a collision at Brunton Park but Penney expects him to be fit to face Orient. The Latics boss was left disappointed with his side's performance against the Cumbrians and could look to make changes. On-loan Blackburn youngster Alex Marrow comes back into contention after being ineligible to face Carlisle but new signings Rob Purdie and Joe Jacobsen remain sidelined due to injury. Midfielder Purdie is recovering from a stomach injury and defender Jacobsen is currently troubled by a hernia.
