Oldham manager Paul Dickov has added former Manchester City team-mate Gerry Taggart to his coaching staff. Taggart becomes assistant manager at Boundary Park following his departure from Leicester. "I need someone I can trust implicitly and Gerry is that person," Dickov told the club`s official website. "Gerry thinks along the same lines as myself and he is also an excellent coach." Since retiring as a player, former Northern Ireland defender Taggart has had coaching roles at Stoke, Tamworth and Leicester, where he was also joint-caretaker manager for a brief spell in October 2007 following Gary Megson`s departure.
