Still `early days' for Dickov

Oldham manager Paul Dickov sees plenty of room for improvement in his side despite a 3-0 win over Notts County which took the Latics top of the table. Dean Furman, Ournare Tounkare and Kieran Lee were all on target to ensure Dickov has won his first two league matches in charge. Dickov said: "I'm delighted with the win and really pleased that we achieved it with a clean sheet. The boys have been excellent so far this season and even at 3-0 in front our determination not to concede was fantastic. "It is early days, but we want them to play attractive football as well as doing the ugly things. They are working ever so hard, although they need to remember how important it is to keep the ball once you have won it. "We want all the players to believe in how good they can be but no one is getting carried away after a couple of good results. "The second half was good and all our goals were excellent but we have to keep our heads down and work on getting better."
