Midfielder Sidney Schmeltz has signed for the Latics on a two-year deal. The 24-year-old Dutchman has played professional football in Holland for Willem II, Almere City, Sparta Rotterdam and SC Veendam. When Veenham recently filed for bankruptcy, Schmeltz became a free agent.
