"we are still one of the most financially-stable clubs in the Football League" Rumours that the Latics are close to administration have been quashed by the owners of the club. Simon Corney (pictured), the managing director, has rubbished the unfounded rumours and stated, "We don't have any significant debt and I would maintain we are still one of the most financially-stable clubs in the Football League." "Admittedly it has been a disappointing campaign, but we are already planning ahead for next season. We are in the process of appointing a new manager and still actively working on the new stadium. That is hardly signs of a club in difficulty."
