Royle relishing Latics reunion

20 March 2009 17:04
The Latics appointed Royle, who previously spent a successful 12-year spell with the club between 1982-1994, as boss until the end of the season after they parted company with John Sheridan following the humbling 6-2 defeat at MK Dons last Saturday.[LNB]"They told me what was happening," Royle told the Football League podcast. "They told me they'd just parted company with John Sheridan and they said would I see them through to the end of the season and that's all it is at the moment.[LNB]"I just said yes. I couldn't say no to Oldham. I still have two boys that live in the area, they live in Saddleworth. I still have relatives that live around Broadway.[LNB]"I still keep in touch regularly with events, I've been to Oldham several times so it's still got a big place in my heart and it wasn't hard to say yes."[LNB][LNB]
