Home fans have to move again The Latics derby match at home to Rochdale on 3rd. January has been discussed and the result is that all the Latics fans will be relocated to the Chaddy End as the Rochdale fans will be accommodated in the large section of the Rochdale Road stand. Only 6,200 home fans will be allowed and Alan Hardy said, "I would like to thank the police and the local authority for the positive discussions that took place regarding this fixture and together we are hopeful that the game can provide a safe and enjoyable spectacle for all concerned. The atmosphere that was generated by Latics fans in just two stands at the Huddersfield game was superb and we hope to be able to replicate that for the Rochdale visit." "I do, however, have to stress the need for season-ticket holders in the Leesfield Developments Rochdale Road Stand to get their new match tickets as soon as possible and once again I apologise to those spectators for this inconvenience, but trust that they share our aim of providing a trouble-free event."
