Public meeting this week
Residents and fans urged to attend The Latics will be holding a public consultation forum surrounding their proposed move to a new stadium in Failsworth. Residents of Failsworth and Athletic fans are invited to attend the meeting which will take place this Wednesday at the Lancaster Club, Broadway, between 3pm and 9pm. A public exhibition and the emerging plans will be on view and Athletic's owners are looking for observations and comments regarding the leisure development which the club hope will provide a big boost to the area. The plans include a new stadium with an initial capacity of 12,000 along with a health and fitness centre, restaurants, hotel and a cinema.
