Flahavan returns also Latics new loan signing Jason Price is glad to get back working with Dave Penney after he got left out of the picture at Millwall. The two worked together at Doncaster Rovers and the manager is hoping that a move back north is just what is needed to get him back on track. Penney told, "We can only bring loan signings in at the moment to help us out, so bringing Jason Price in was a great piece of business for us. I've known Jason since our Doncaster days when I brought him in from Hull and his career needs a little boost again, so hopefully it will help both parties. He is a northern lad and I think that it will suit him a little to come back up here and get some games under his belt." Darryl Flahavan is also back on loan from cash-strapped Crystal Palace and Penney commented, "We are talking to a few clubs about different players, but the good thing about us Football League clubs is that we don't need to be rushing about to complete deals with the loan market reopening in a week's time. I don't mind being patient and waiting while that kicks in, so it wasn't such a panic for us yesterday."
