Players are in good shape - Boss
Penney has spent the past few days assessing his squad before the official start of pre-season training.
The new Latics boss told the club's official website: "We've all enjoyed it and the players have looked bright and sharp.
"You could say it's been a pleasant surprise, actually. It's been good to break the ice and get up and running before pre-season training starts."
