Penney thankful for spot of luck

Reuben Hazell headed Oldham in front but Wanderers were level when Chris Taylor blocked a shot with his hand and Matt Harrold fired home confidently from the penalty spot.[LNB]Within five minutes of the restart Wycombe were ahead, with Dean Brill badly at fault when he allowed Kevin Betsy's 20-yard shot to slip through his hands.[LNB]The visitors were on course for only their third away win of the season before referee Eddie Ilderton penalised Alan Bennett for handball and Pawel Abbott slammed the resulting penalty into the roof of the net.[LNB]"It was a home game and we got ourselves in front so it is a major disappointment not to win," said Penney. "I wanted us to make more progress up the table because the games are ticking down and people around us are fighting for their lives.[LNB]"I hoped we would kick on from the first goal but we lacked sharpness and were grateful for a point at the death. I'm not sure either penalty was right but the ref had given one at their end so maybe that's why we got one as well."[LNB][LNB]
