MacDonald back for Latics

Charlie MacDonald could make his return from injury when Oldham meet Stevenage.

The striker has been out of action since the end of November because of a knee problem but has returned to full training and could bolster boss Lee Johnson's attacking options.

David Worrall was left out of the squad that went to Anfield to face Liverpool last weekend but the on-loan Rotherham midfielder may make his first appearance, a landmark which defender Adam Lockwood will also be hoping to achieve.

St Mirren loanee Gary Harkins, a substitute on Merseyside, could also make his first start with Johnson having plenty of options at his disposal with the treatment room now clear.

Stevenage have a fully-fit squad.

Striker Darius Charles returned after four months out with ankle ligament damage as a late substitute against Doncaster in the FA Cup last weekend to give manager Graham Westley a full complement of 22 players to choose from.

Westley has been further boosted by the news 13-goal top scorer Francois Zoko is staying at the club until the end of the season after his previous short-term deal expired last weekend.

Boro caused a cup shock when they beat Doncaster but they are without a win in their last six league matches and will kick-off bottom of the table.
