Freddie Ladapo set for League One debut as Oldham face Shrewsbury

New signing Freddie Ladapo is set to make his League One bow for Oldham in Saturday's home clash with Shrewsbury.

Striker Ladapo joined on loan from Crystal Palace on Tuesday and played in the Checkatrade Trophy loss to Carlisle that night.

Since then, defender Cameron Dummigan, who was on loan from Burnley last season, has returned to Oldham on a permanent deal, but he will not be available this weekend as he is on international duty with Northern Ireland Under-21s.

Forward Calaum Jahraldo-Martin has recovered from a hamstring problem, but defender Jamie Reckord remains sidelined by a groin issue.

Dan Grimmer could feature for Shrewsbury after making his return to the club on loan on deadline day while Sylvan Ebanks-Blake could make his debut.

The pair joined on loan on Wednesday with Grimmer starting his third spell at the club after signing from Fulham,

Ebanks-Blake has joined from Chesterfield until January and boosts Shrewsbury's forward line having scored on Tuesday in Chesterfield's Checkatrade Trophy win over Wolves.

Ryan McGivern is unavailable after his call up by Northern Ireland for their their World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic and the club will hope Shaun Whalley will return from a calf injury.
