Latics wait on Wesolowski Oldham will assess midfielder James Wesolowski ahead of the visit of Notts County. Wesolowski has missed Latics' first four npower League One matches with a torn hamstring but could come into contention if he continues to suffer no reaction in training. Boss Paul Dickov will be without the services of Jordan Slew after it was confirmed the on-loan Blackburn youngster has suffered a stress fracture of his back. Defender Connor Brown serves the second match of a three-game suspension following his part in an on-field fracas during the 1-0 win at Portsmouth earlier this month. Latics skipper Dean Furman is available after coming through matches against Brazil and Mozambique for South Africa this week. Dickov's men are searching for a first home win this season having recorded two defeats and a draw in all competitions at this stage. Full-back Alan Sheehan is a doubt for Notts County. Sheehan was forced off with a hamstring problem shortly before half-time in the Magpies' 3-2 home win over Shrewsbury last weekend. Carl Regan, who replaced Sheehan against the Shrews, could come into contention for a start should the Irishman miss out. Fellow defenders Tom Williams and Manny Smith (knee) will remain on the sidelines but summer signing Jamal Campbell Ryce could be in the squad for the first time after injury. Campbell-Ryce, who moved to Meadow Lane from Bristol City in July, has been troubled by a calf problem so far this season but the winger is edging closer to full fitness after recently seeing a specialist.
