Montano set for Latics return

Cristian Montano is expected to return to Oldham's matchday squad when they host Sky Bet League One leaders Leyton Orient.

The Latics winger has missed the past two games after he underwent an operation to have a cyst drained, but was back in training on Thursday ahead of the meeting with the unbeaten O's.

Manager Lee Johnson could call on central defender Genseric Kusunga, who also returned to training this week after missing a fortnight due to a hamstring problem.

Midfielder David Mellor completes his three-match ban and will available for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Preston in midweek but full-back Connor Brown (knee) remains on the sidelines.

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade will be forced into one change.

Romain Vincelot is suspended following his red card in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Walsall which brought an end to the O's 100 per cent start to the season.

On-loan Burnley midfielder Marvin Bartley is set to step in for what will be his full league debut for the Londoners.

Scott Cuthbert (hip), Mathieu Baudry (head), Shaun Batt (virus) and Jayden Stockley (knee) all came through late fitness checks in time to face the Saddlers and should be available again.
