Byron back for Latics

Joel Byrom could make his return to action when Oldham host Coventry.

Midfielder Byrom, on loan from Preston, has been hampered by a hamstring injury since arriving at Boundary Park but was on the bench at Colchester on Friday.

None of the substitutes made it on to the pitch against the U's as the 11 players selected by manager Lee Johnson finished the match, so the Latics boss may opt to freshen up his team for what will be a second game in the space of three days.

Both winger James Dayton and striker Charlie MacDonald have caught Johnson's eye in training recently and could come into the XI. However, defender Genseric Kusunga's injury woes continue with his latest hamstring setback likely to keep him on the sidelines once more.

Coventry look likely to have an unchanged squad.

Franck Moussa has missed the last two games with a back problem and Monday's match will probably come too soon for the midfielder

Dan Seaborne returned to the squad on Friday after recovering from a hamstring injury. He was an unused substitute against Swindon but will hope to be restored to the centre of the Sky Blues defence at Boundary Park.

Coventry are five points above the relegation zone and need one more win to guarantee their Sky Bet League One status for next season.
