Oldham bolstered by deadline-day additions

Oldham have three of their four deadline-day signings available for the home clash with Charlton.

Eoin Doyle, Kean Bryan and Jack Ruddy all arrived on loan while Johny Placide signed a two-year deal.

Ruddy is unavailable for Saturday's game but the other three could feature as the Latics continue to search for their first points of the season.

Ryan McLaughlin is away with Northern Ireland but Oldham boss John Sheridan will make late decisions over winger Tope Obadeyi and striker Craig Davies (both hamstring), who have been missing for a fortnight, while midfielders Ryan Flynn and Paul Green (both Achilles) would also provide a much-needed boost if they were to return.

Charlton manager Karl Robinson must juggle the absences of Jay Dasilva and Josh Magennis, who are both on international duty.

Johnnie Jackson is expected to deputise for Dasilva, while deadline-day signing Joe Dodoo is in contention to replace Magennis with the Addicks lacking attacking options.

Attacking midfielder Billy Clarke could play up front if Dodoo is not thrown straight in, which may bring Ben Reeves into contention for a start.

Lewis Page, Harry Lennon and Mark Marshall remain long-term absentees.
