Oldham set to be without Mike Jones and Danny Lafferty against Burton
Mike Jones and Danny Lafferty will have to come out of Oldham's starting line-up for Burton's visit to SportsDirect.com Park.
Midfielder Jones (ankle) and defender Lafferty (shoulder) were both forced off in the derby draw with Rochdale last week and are awaiting the results of scans amid fears they could be out for the long term.
Burnley loanee Lafferty has had to go back to his parent club and could be replaced by Richard Eckersley while Jones' spot may be taken by Mark Yeates or Lee Croft.
Strike duo Jake Cassidy (ankle) and Jonathan Forte (knee) remain long-term absentees with the former expected back in two to three weeks while the latter has pencilled in a Christmas comeback.
Burton are without the suspended Robbie Weir after his red card against Port Vale.
Zeli Ismail is set for another spell on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury while in action for the Under-21s. The on-loan Wolves winger had only recently returned from a lengthy lay-off with a knee problem.
Elsewhere, Albion boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has players coming back into the reckoning. Full-back Damien McCrory (illness) and striker Stuart Beavon (calf) have both resumed training and should be included in the travelling party.
Midfielder Callum Reilly (groin) has also trained this week while defender Darius Charles has been stepping up his recovery from a broken leg for several weeks now.
