No fracture for Oldham's Worthington
The defender was stretchered off 15 minutes into the defeat at Southampton with a suspected broken leg and taken straight to hospital.
X-rays have revealed Worthington has not suffered a fracture in his left leg and he will undergo further tests when the swelling decreases.
The 26-year-old will find out on Friday the extent of his injury although he is likely to be sidelined for several weeks with ligament damage.
