Latics wrap up signing window
Abalimba comes in on a free transfer Athletic were busy on the last day of the transfer window and completed their signings by capturing Derby County utility man Medi Abalimba on a free transfer. The 21-year-old was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and can play either full-back or midfield. His career began at Southend but he joined Derby for an undisclosed fee without making a senior appearance for the Shrimpers.
