Oldham boss Paul Dickov will assess the fitness of defender Paul Black ahead of the trip to derby rivals Rochdale. The left-back missed Saturday's thumping home win against Plymouth with a hamstring strain but he trained on Monday and could be passed fit. However, Dickov is likely to name the same side that won 4-2 on Saturday and has no other new injuries or suspensions for the eagerly-awaited clash. Oldham have sold all 3,200 tickets for the the first league derby between the clubs since 1974. Meanwhile, Latics duo Kelvin Lomax and Deane Smalley are set to join Chesterfield on three-month loan deals. Full-back Lomax, 23, and striker Smalley, 22, have found first-team opportunities limited at Boundary Park this season.
