Latics swoop for United starlet

Oldham have brought in Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos on loan until the end of the season. Amos has made two first-team appearances for the Premier League club this season but is fourth choice in the pecking order at Old Trafford. And Oldham boss Paul Dickov has swooped to capture the 20-year-old's signature, recruiting the stopper to provide competition for Dean Brill and Greg Fleming. The Macclesfield-born keeper played against Wolves in the Carling Cup and in last month's Champions League draw with Valencia. Amos played one game on loan at Peterborough last season and made nine further appearances in a spell at Norwegian outfit Molde FK.
